The Wire, The Walking Dead alum and Arrow star Chad L. Coleman is featured in the October 2016 issue of Ajoure Men Magazine.
From the digital issue:
The Walking Dead and The Wire are both pretty intense series. What do you think makes them so popular?
“The Wire is incredibly popular because of its uncompromising storytelling. It’s almost like a documentary. The Wire changed the face of TV, from the standpoint of about the truth of what went down in Baltimore. The Walking Dead is based on a graphic novel. It appeals to a demographic from 5-85 years old, and there’s something in it for everyone.”
If you weren’t an actor, what profession would you choose?
“I would be a broadcaster. I always loved TV and radio, in terms of being a newscaster, an on-air sportscaster or on an interview show.”
What is the most fun you’ve ever had in a role?
“The most fun in a role is happening right now, with Tobias Church on Arrow. This is the first time I get to play someone who’s twisted with a sick sense of humor. Tobias Church is a very meaty, juicy role because you don’t know which way he’s going.”
Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on the CW.
