Arrow star Emily Bett Rickards is featured in the September 2016 issue of NKD Magazine.
From the digital issue:
Growing up just outside of Vancouver in a home full of animals-Emily Bett Rickards was never lonely. She was heavily involved in gymnastics until she was 12, when a back injury forced her to quit. At 17, she moved into Vancouver and enrolled in an acting program. Her initial audition for the role of Felicity Smoak on Arrow was for a one-episode guest role. Fans responded her character from her first appearance. “It just started to grow from there and she became part of this storyline and was able to add what was missing at the time.”
As for season five of the show: “She’s carrying this huge amount of guilt, and she’s not letting it go in anyway. All it’s doing is festering up and around episodes 3-5 we’re going to see her break,” she says. Emily believes that Felicity is a role that she could always return to, in some shape or form. “I do think that Felicity is timeless, but I am not.”
Arrow premieres October 5 on the CW.
