Ballers star Dwayne Johnson is featured in the September 2016 issue of Muscle & Fitness.
From the digital issue:
In honor of Dwayne Johnson’s involvement in the 2016 Mr. Olympia Weekend, we’re putting The Rock center stage as we evaluate his legendary and ever-evolving physique.
Scorpion King (2002): In his first leading role, Dwayne Johnson rolled straight out of the ring and onto the set boasting the same trademark conditioning that he was known for in WWE. “When I made Scorpion King, the body type was different, my conditioning was different, the muscle maturity was difference. That was me at 29, compared with today,” he says. The film grossed $165 million worldwide, signaling the birth of a box office star.
Ballers (2015-Present): His portrayal for former NFL standout Spencer Strasmore has set the fitness bar high. In real life, Johnson played football for the University of Miami and had a short stint with the Canadian Football League in 1995.
Ballers airs Sundays at 10/9c on HBO.
