From night one, the sparks between Bachelorette JoJo Fletcher and suitor Jordan Rodgers were undeniable.

“I had this immediate sense of comfort with him,” Fletcher tells PEOPLE exclusively of her brand-new fiancé. “From that first initial interaction, I knew I could fall in love with Jordan.”

Even as Fletcher’s feelings for her other suitors grew stronger, the 25-year-old real estate developer says she never had any doubt that Rodgers was the one.

“On those final days, I thought about who I couldn’t imagine saying goodbye to,” she says. “It was always Jordan. And that’s how I knew.”

And when it came to proposing, “I was so ready,” says Rodgers, 27. “JoJo is the one. I know that, no matter what, we’ll get through anything.”

Since then, they’ve been in newly engaged bliss. “We woke up the day after the proposal and we were so incredibly happy,” says Rodgers. “It was the best decision we ever made.”

Says Fletcher: “We went through this entire crazy journey that somehow led us to each other. We’re so ready to start our life together!”
